Gomm funeral procession could bring traffic delays

Motorists can expect to encounter traffic delays as the procession makes its way from the church to Roselawn Cemetery in Roseville.

Funeral services for corrections officer Joseph Gomm take place Thursday at North Heights Lutheran Church in Arden Hills.

Motorists can expect to encounter traffic delays as the procession makes its way from the church to Roselawn Cemetery in Roseville. Several hundred vehicles are expected to be part of the procession, which will begin about 12:30 p.m.

The route will follow County Road 96 east over to Snelling Avenue, then south on Snelling to Larpenteur Avenue and east on Larpenteur to the cemetery.

Authorities will temporarily close the following ramps:

  • Eastbound Interstate 694 to southbound Snelling Avenue
    • Eastbound exit ramp from Hwy. 36 to southbound Snelling Avenue
      • Westbound Hwy. 36 to southbound Snelling Avenue.

        Officer Gomm died July 18 in the line of duty at Stillwater Prison.
