The Gluten-Free Food Allergy Fest returns May 20-21 at the Minneapolis Convention Center with about 70 exhibitors, along with speakers addressing subjects ranging from diagnosis to essential oils, along with cooking demonstrations and food samples.

This is the third year for the fest run by Gluten Free & More magazine, whose editors are among the showcased experts. Among the lecture topics are how to proceed after being newly diagnosed, how gluten and sugar interact, and the effects of essential oils on digestion.

There'll also be a lot of food samples, with nut-free and dairy-free options discussed as well. Chefs' demos range from muffins to leafy greens to a gluten-free, dairy-free ice cream cake.

Hours both days are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. For tickets and details, visit glutenfreefoodallergyfest.com.
