TOP 10 TEAMS

METRO AREA

1. Hopkins

The two-time defending champs have plenty of depth to add a third. The Royals enjoy playing with a target on their backs, so No. 1 is theirs until somebody beats them.

2. ROSEVILLE

Primed to upset some teams with its entire roster back from last season. Experience won't be a problem here.

3. BLOOMINGTON KENNEDY

Already tested, having played three 2012 state champions to open the season. Has enough skill players to make title run.

4. EASTVIEW

Young, but impressive, led by its Class 4A all-tournament team sophomore Madison Guebert.

5. OSSEO

Last year's Class 4A runner-up has a pair of Division I-bound starters leading the way.

6. ST. PAUL CENTRAL

Coming off 20-win season and off to a hot start with upperclassmen leadership.

7. LAKEVILLE NORTH

Will be strong as always, but will need to be better than that to climb to the top.

8. PROVIDENCE ACADEMY

The Class 2A champion already has defeated Bloomington Kennedy this season and is eager to defend its title.

9. DELASALLE

Going for a three-peat and has reloaded with enough talent to do so.

10. MINNETONKA

Likely will pull off some upsets in the loaded Lake Conference, led by quality point guard Joanna Hedstrom.

FILE -- A rent deposit slot at an apartment complex in Tucker, Ga., on July 21, 2020. As an eviction crisis has seemed increasingly likely this summer, everyone in the housing market has made the same plea to Washington: Send money — lots of it — that would keep renters in their homes and landlords afloat.
