The Toy Corner distributes new and like-new toys to families in need in Scott County. Hold a toy drive to collect toys, especially those suitable for ages 10-16. Toys should be in the $10 range. thetoycorner.org.

Warehouse help

Harvest Pack is a humanitarian organization fighting world hunger. Assist after meal-packing events. Must be able to stand and lift up to 20 pounds. Flexible scheduling. harvestpack.org.

Groceries for seniors

Assist Help At Your Door with aging adults. Grocery shop for 3 hours twice a month or on a weekly basis. Bloomington and St. Anthony area. 6 a.m.-9 a.m. Six-month commitment required. Training provided. helpatyourdoor.org.

Foster learning

Mentor youth

Kids 'n Kinship is a mentoring program for children ages 5-16 living in Dakota County. They connect (individual adults, couples or families) with children and spend 1-4 hours a week with a child. Ongoing support and training provided. kidsnkinship.org.

Museum volunteer

The Works Museum in Bloomington introduces hands-on engineering, design and problem-solving to kids and their families. Open to the public as well as tailored hands-on workshops and field trip programming. Wide range of volunteer opportunities available. theworks.org.

Rebuilding Together renovates and revitalizes houses to help homeowners regain a sense of pride in themselves and their community. A wide variety of positions exist. Bluebirds and Blooms serves those living with memory loss or long-term illness by repurposing flowers from stores, events, weddings, and funerals to create cheerful bedside bouquets that are delivered. Arrange flowers, pickup and delivery. bluebirdsandblooms.com.

Provide meals

Purchase, prepare, and serve a nutritious meal to 21 guests at Our Saviour's Emergency Shelter. Needed 365 nights a year. Total time on site is about two hours with dinner served at 7pm.
