I'm going to let you in on a little trick I do when I'm dragging crankbaits through suspended walleyes. When I'm using a lure with a larger lip, I know I can add a bit of scent to it in the form of a half a nightcrawler on the front treble hook. On the lures with the smaller lips, this won't work. Take the half a crawler and poke it with two of the three hooks of that front treble hook. You don't want the meat balled on the hook but hanging off both sides. Test the lure in the water by the boat at the speed you will be running to make sure you have some wobble and the extra weight isn't impeding the track of that crankbait. It's amazing what a little bit of scent will do when trolling hard baits through suspended walleyes.
