Preview: The Wild, winner of three consecutive on the road, plays the front end of a back-to-back trip that continues to Washington on Friday. The Wild lost 4-1 at home Tuesday to the New York Islanders, the first time in five games it lost under interim coach John Torchetti. The Flyers are 2-2-2 in their past six and coming off a 3-1 loss at Carolina.

Players to watch: On Tuesday, Flyers D Shayne Gostisbehere's point streak ended at 15 games (5-13—18), the longest in NHL history by a rookie defenseman as well as the longest in franchise history by any rookie. RW Wayne Simmonds leads the team with 21 goals. Wild RW Jason Pominville has three goals and three assists in the past four games after two points in his previous 23. C Erik Haula has four multipoint games in his past eight. D Matt Dumba has four goals in the past 10 games. LW Nino Niederreiter has two goals, three assists and is plus-7 in the past five games.

Numbers: The Wild is 3-17-6 when the opponent scores first, the worst win percentage in the NHL (.115).

Injuries: Wild LW Zach Parise (upper body), LW/RW Jason Zucker (concussion) and D Jonas Brodin (broken foot) are out. Flyers C Claude Giroux (upper body), D Michael Del Zotto (wrist) and C Jordan Weal (upper body) are out.
