wild gameday

7 p.m. vs. San Jose • Xcel • FSN Plus, 100.3-FM

Preview: The Wild won at Boston 4-3 on Tuesday and did so by rallying from a two-goal, third-period deficit for the first time since Dec. 18, 2007, to win in regulation. It's also the third time in team history and first time on the road that the Wild accomplished that feat. Now the Wild, 3-0 at home, opens a three-game homestand. It has outshot all eight opponents this season, averaging the second-most shots per game (34.2) in the NHL and allowing the fewest (22.6). The Sharks, coming off a shootout victory at Colorado, have lost four of six.

Players to watch: LW Zach Parise leads the Wild with eight points. D Marco Scandella, who scored his third career game-winning goal Tuesday, is tied with D Ryan Suter for first on the team with a plus-8. C Ryan Carter has an assist in five of the past six games and leads the Wild with 16 hits. G Darcy Kuemper will probably get a chance to bounce back after allowing five goals in the third period Monday in a loss to the Rangers. … Sharks D Brent Burns, a former Wild first-round pick, leads NHL defensemen with 12 points. LW Patrick Marleau is tied for fifth in the NHL with 12 points.

Numbers: The Wild's power play is 0-for-26 and has gone eight straight games without a power-play goal, which is tied for the team record. … The Wild has been shorthanded the fewest times in the NHL (22), has the NHL's third-best penalty kill (90.9 percent) and is tied for the second-fewest minor penalties (29). … The Wild has defeated San Jose six consecutive times at home.

Injuries: Wild C Erik Haula (head) might return. LW Jonas Brodin (hand) is doubtful. D Keith Ballard (ill) and D Christian Folin (ill) are doubtful. Sharks LW Raffi Torres (knee) is out.
