ABOUT THE VIKINGS
The Vikings beat Tampa Bay 26-16,last Saturday to improve to 2-0 in the preseason. They have yet to lose a preseason game under second-year coach Mike Zimmer. … QB Teddy Bridgewater's first action in a Vikings uniform came in last year's preseason opener against the Raiders. He went 6-for-13 for 49 yards and fumbled once. … Bridgewater and backup Shaun Hill will both see time against the Raiders in the first half. … Rookie T.J. Clemmings will start at right tackle after Phil Loadholt suffered a season-ending torn Achilles' tendon against the Buccaneers. … LB Anthony Barr, who has not played in a game since November because of knee injuries, is expected to start against the Raiders. … S Antone Exum and TE MyCole Pruitt will not play after sitting out practice this week. C John Sullivan and TE Brandon Bostick are questionable after missing practice time, too. … The Vikings also wil play the Raiders in the regular season, on Nov. 15 in Oakland.

Former Vikings QB Christian Ponder will return to Minnesota as a member of the Raiders. Ponder, who signed with Oakland in the offseason, is competing with Matt McGloin to back up Raiders starter Derek Carr. … Former Vikings linebacker Jack Del Rio is in his first year as coach of the Raiders. Former Vikings offensive coordinator Bill Musgrave serves in the same capacity on Del Rio's staff, and former Vikings head coach Mike Tice is the offensive line coach. … The Raiders finished 3-13 in 2014 and selected WR Amari Cooper, Bridgewater's high school teammate, with their first-round pick. … Ponder threw a touchdown pass and an interception as the Raiders beat St. Louis 18-3 in their preseason opener Aug. 14.
