Preview: The Gophers (14-14, 5-10) are trying to avoid their first losing regular season since they went 14-16 in 2011-12. They already are locked into the No. 10 seed for the Big Ten tournament, which begins Wednesday in Indianapolis. Maryland (26-2, 14-1) is tied for first place with Ohio State going into the final day of the regular season. The Buckeyes, who beat the Terrapins on Monday, play at Rutgers at 2 p.m. Maryland beat the Gophers 83-72 on Jan. 1 at Williams Arena.

Players to watch: Maryland will honor seniors Brionna Jones (19.2 ppg, 10.6 rpg) and Shatori Walker-Kimbrough (18.2 ppg, 3.9 rpg) before the game. As Terrapins, they have won 119 games and lost just 16.

Numbers: Maryland is 5-0 all-time (2-0 at home) vs. the Gophers. … The Terrapins lead the country in scoring at 89.9 points per game, while the Gophers are giving up 73.5 per game, second worst in the Big Ten. … Gophers guard Carlie Wagner needs four three-pointers to reach 200 for her career.
