Preview: The Wild (1-1-2) started the season with just four games in 15 days. But beginning Friday at Winnipeg (3-3-0), the four- to five-day breaks between contests will be long gone. The Wild has six games in the final 12 days of October, including this weekend's back-to-back.

Quotable: "It feels like, and I told the guys, it's like we're starting the season right now. The other games, I mean, it was like few and far between. But once we start playing, it doesn't seem like we're going to end playing until mid-December. So I mean, the season sort of starts for us starting tomorrow." – coach Bruce Boudreau.

Numbers: Winger Tyler Ennis scored two power-play goals in a game for the first time in his career Saturday. With those first goals as a Wild player, Ennis is one away from the 100 mark in his career. He has four points this season and ranks second on the team with 10 hits.

Injuries: F Zach Parise (undisclosed), F Charlie Coyle (leg) and F Nino Niederreiter (ankle) are out for the Wild, while F Mikael Granlund (groin) is questionable. D Dmitry Kulikov, F Matt Hendricks, F Adam Lowry and F Mathieu Perreault are out for Winnipeg.
