The Atlanta Braves, unfazed by Houston wearing uniforms with guns on them, won 6-4 on Tuesday, leaving the Twins as the only winless team in baseball.

(The Astros celebrated their 50th anniversary by wearing Colt 45's uniforms that included a pistol across the chest).

The Twins will try to win for the first time this season when they go up against ace Jared Weaver and the Angels tonight at Target Field. Temperatures should be around 45-50 degrees.

We'll be monitoring a few things at the park today:

Scott Baker: We're waiting for word on the Twins righthander, who is supposed to get another opinion on his elbow from specialist Dr. David Altcheck. Baker battled a tender elbow during spring training and left a minor league start last Thursday after 11 pitches when the elbow gave him more trouble.

Liam Hendriks: The righthander rejoined the club on Monday after spending the weekend in a Baltimore-area hospital because of food poisoning. He was expected to work out at the park yesterday, so the Twins might have an idea of when he'll make his season debut.

Fat players: Just kidding. But today is the annual Welcome Home Luncheon at Target Field, the big show for the local Chambers of Commerce.

Some other notes:

One thing to watch for over the next two games against the Angels: Will Mark Trumbo start at third base? Trumbo, really a first baseman, is learning the position after the Angels signed Albert Pujols during the offseason. He committed two errors in Friday's game and could be a mark for Twins bunters.

After giving up five earned runs over 52/3 innings on Monday in his Major League debut, Japanese righthander Yu Darvish is scheduled to face the Twins on Saturday at Target Field.

Brain Dozier, who impressed during spring training, missed Class AAA Rochester's game on Tuesday with a sore back. Jim Rantz, the Twins director of minor leagues, said Dozier isn't expected to miss much time.

Rene Tosoni, however, will miss a week to 10 days after cutting his left ring finger Saturday while sliding into home plate. He needed stitches to close up the cut..
