Game 162....with no Game 163 in sight

Twins prepare for season finale

October 3, 2010 at 6:53PM

UPDATE: Jason Kubel was removed from today's game as a precaution after fouling a ball off his right foot. He's expected to be fine.

A lot of stuff going on so I have to be brief.

Jose Morales will not be on the playoff roster. It loos like Matt Tolbert, Nick Punto and Alexi Casilla will all make it.

Scott Baker probably won't. as he's expressed concerns to the coaching staff about working out of the bullpen with his elbow. So Kevin Slowey looks to be the long man.

Jon Rauch and Carl Pavano will throw in the bullpen on Monday. Banged up players will come in for treatment. Other than that, everyone else will get Monday off.

Brain Duesing said his shoulder is fine and everything was overblown.

Justin Morneau has spoken with GM Bill Smith and there are indications he's interested in heading to Florida to work out at Instructional League soon. How soon? No one is sure.
