GABE DOUGLAS

9 p.m. Tuesdays through Jan. 29 • Cause • free

Since his barnstorming blues-rock band the 4onthefloor tromped its way to local prominence in 2011, frontman Gabe Douglas has shown that he's no one-trick pony (or bronco). The bearded bellower has penned kiddie songs, played one-man acoustic sets and gigged with his colonial side projects Orca Colony and alt-country consortium Silverback Colony. Douglas struts his soothing solo stuff this month with a Tuesday residency at Cause, with 2-for-1 rails and $2 tallboys. MICHAEL RIETMULDER
