Fund set up for Hugo shooting victims

A Hugo, Minn., bank has set up a fund to aid the family of a couple found shot to death in an apparent murder-suicide in the city on Tuesday.

Friends said the bodies of Sarah Mitzuk, 32, and her husband, Mike, 34, were discovered by Sarah's father when he arrived in the morning to care for the couple's 4-year-old son, Michael. The boy was not injured.

Sarah Mitzuk was a grief counselor and Michael Mitzuk owned Mitzy's Tattoo studio in White Bear Lake.

DONATIONS to the family can be made in person at any of Lake Area Bank's eight branches, or mailed to: Mitzuk Family Fund, Lake Area Bank, 14602 Everton Av. N., Hugo, MN 55308. Checks should be made to the "Mitzuk Family Fund."

No more information was released by officials Wednesday. Washington County Sheriff Bill Hutton said Tuesday that officials had no reason to think anyone besides the Mitzuks was involved.

The bodies were taken to the Ramsey County medical examiner for autopsies, officials said. The Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension is assisting in the investigation.
