Our local version of Fashion Week culminates this weekend with the annual Full Fashion Panic, part of MCAD's Schoolgirls and Mobilesuits anime and manga workshop. Accordingly, the runway show offers up a slice of the alternative fashion genre's various offshoots, namely Lolita, cosplay and steampunk. Directed by neo-Victorian designer veteran Samantha Rei Crossland and emceed by burlesque performer Loud Louisa, the show includes fashions from local and national alt designers including Tara Reich and Deborah Block. Fresh Traditions VI

Produced by Hmong community group the Center for Hmong Arts and Talent (CHAT), the annual Fresh Traditions fashion show is more than simply a celebration of a community. The show challenges emerging Hmong designers to showcase their heritage in a modern way, working traditional textiles into up-to-date designs. A highlight among the five lines shown is sure to be French-Hmong designer Oskar Ly, who will be offering her twist on the classic little black dress. (8 p.m. Sat. $15-$40.
