A fugitive Minnesota sex offender has been arrested in southern Texas, according to officials with the Minnesota Department of Corrections.
Douglas Lynn Peterson, 66, was released from prison on Nov. 5, 2014, to intensive supervision with Hennepin County. He was living near the area of 27th Street and Fremont Avenue S. in Minneapolis when he stopped complying with the conditions of his release and was deemed a fugitive on Jan. 17.
Authorities said that Peterson has since been arrested and that he is in the Guadalupe County jail.
Peterson was sentenced to prison in 2001 for criminal sexual conduct against known juvenile males.
