September 15, 2016 at 6:22PM

To celebrate Saturday being Community Garden Day, the folks at the city's new urban farm are hosting a festival. Frogtown Farm's Harvest Festival will feature a number of gardening activities, a walking food route and things to keep the kids busy.

And after the festival ends, stay to watch a Picnic Operetta performance of "Donald Giovanni in Cornlandia" by Mixed Precipitation which will be held in the plaza area. A donation-based RSVP for the Operetta is recommended, but no one will be turned away.

Blankets to sit on are recommended. The operetta runs from 2-3:15 pm. Frogtown Farm is located about a mile north of University Avenue in St. Paul and bordered by Victoria Street to the east and Minnehaha Avenue to the north.
The Harvest Festival event is FREE and open to all. The park is accessible on foot, bike, bus and the Green Line. Parking in the park is limited.
