Friday's results: MSU Mankato edges Lake Superior State

Julian Napravnik and Reggie Lutz scored goals 1 minute, 13 seconds apart in the first period as No. 2 Minnesota State Mankato beat visiting Lake Superior State 2-0 on Saturday night to sweep their best-of-three WCHA semifinal series. The Mavericks won 2-1 in the opener.

Dryden McKay made 31 saves for the MSU Mankato (31-7-2), Nick Kosoff 28 for the Lakers (23-13-2).

NCHC quarterfinals

No. 4 Minnesota Duluth 4, Omaha 1: Kobe Roth's power-play goal for Minnesota Duluth broke a 1-all tie in the second period as the Bulldogs (23-11-2) swept their series with the Mavericks. Jackson Cates, Cole Koepke and Peter Krieger had the other goals for the Bulldogs.

No. 1 St. Cloud State 6, Miami (Ohio) 3: Robby Jackson had a goal and two assists to lead the Huskies (29-4-3) to a series sweep over the visiting RedHawks.
