Tre Jones had 20 points, nine rebounds and seven assists to lead visiting Apple Valley, ranked No. 5 in Class 4A, to an 81-63 South Suburban Conference boys' basketball victory over crosstown rival Eastview on Friday night.

Jones was 9-for-13 from the field as the Eagles shot 59 percent (32 of 54).

Will Barry scored 15 points — making seven of eight shots — to lead Eastview.

Chaska 80, Bloomington Kennedy 61: Junior forward Cole Nicholson scored 32 points to lead the Hawks to the Metro West Conference victory.

Blaine 68, Elk River 56: Senior forward Ray Mitchell made 11 of 14 free throws and scored 24 points to lead the Bengals over the Elks. Brandon O'Connor led the Elks with 13.

Dassel-Cokato 64, Glencoe-Silver Lake 51: Trevor Kaiser scored 23 points and Isaac Morris 22 to lead the host Chargers to the victory. The Chargers surged to a 36-22 halftime lead.

Champlin Park 86, Park Center 81: Josiah Strong scored 36 points and Bennett Otto 27 in leading the Rebels to an upset of the Pirates, No. 6 in Class 4A. Jarius Cook's 25 points led Park Center.

Osseo 79, Irondale 47: Osseo, No. 7 in Class 4A, pulled away in the second half for the Northwest Suburban Conference victory. Zach Theisen scored 17 points to lead the Orioles to their 12th victory in the past 13 games. The Orioles, who led by eight points at halftime, outscored the Knights 47-23 in the second half.

Mahtomedi 86, Tartan 79 [OT]: J'vonne Hadley and Timmy Lindquist each scored 21 points to help the Zephyrs, No. 8 in Class 3A, outlast the visiting Titans. Antwan Kimmons scored 30 to lead the Titans. The Zephyrs avenged a 65-57 loss to Tartan on Jan. 5.

Hopkins 90, Minnetonka 77: Hopkins, ranked No. 2 in Class 4A, held off the visiting Skippers for their 20th victory in 21 games.

Girls' basketball

Eastview 50, Apple Valley 45: The Lightning, No. 1 in Class 4A, remained unbeaten by outlasting its crosstown rival. Senior forward Megan Walstad scored 15 to lead Eastview.

Wayzata 84, Edina 64: Jasmine Smiley scored 24 points and Annika Stewart 22 to lead the unbeaten Trojans, No. 2 in Class 4A, past the host Hornets. Olivia Coughlin scored 26 to lead the Hornets. Wayzata (21-0) defeated Edina 44-40 on Dec. 8.

Cretin-Derham Hall 62, White Bear Lake 51: Junior forward Fannie Hottinger scored 25 to lead the Raiders, No. 7 in Class 4A, to the Suburban East Conference victory.

Maple Grove 59, Spring Lake Park 28: The Crimson, ranked No. 9 in Class 4A, won for the 10th time in 11 games behind Autumn Mlinar's 17 points.

Hutchinson 78, Orono 56: Senior guard MaKenzie Rensch scored 20 points to lead host Hutchinson, No. 7 in Class 3A, to its ninth consecutive victory.

Boys' hockey

Orono 4, Mound Westonka 2: Lucas Jorgenson scored two goals to lead the visiting Spartans, No. 3 in Class 1A, past the No. 4 White Hawks.

Benilde-St. Margaret's 5, Chaska 1: Freshman goalie Carson Limesand had 27 saves as the Red Knights remained unbeaten in conference play. Five players each scored a goal for the Red Knights while Nate Clark and Dylan Hoen each had two assists.

Girls' hockey

Holy Family/Waconia 4, Hutchinson 2: Molly Garin scored two goals to help the Fire (16-8-1, 9-2-1 Wright County) clinch the Wright County Conference title. The Fire overtook Delano/Rockford (16-9-0, 9-3-0), which lost to New Prague 3-1 on Friday.
