SYNCHRONIZED SWIMMING
Wayzata wins 7th title in row
STATE MEET: Lucky No. 7. Wayzata won its seventh consecutive state synchronized swimming meet on Friday at the University of Minnesota Aquatic Center. The Trojans accumulated 143 points, outdistancing runner-up Stillwater. The Ponies wound up with 101 points, and finished second for the seventh year in a row. Sophomores Haley Ruegemer and Amanda Urke each had a hand in on three first-place finishes for the Trojans. Ruegemer won the long solo while Urke took first place in the extended solo. They teamed up to win the extended duet and were members of the extended team champions.

CLASS 3A
SECTION 1: Junior Michaela Mills hit her second home run of the season, helping Hastings to a 2-1 victory over Rochester John Marshall in the semifinals. She went 2-for-4.
SECTION 6: Orono scored four runs in each of the second and fifth innings and went to beat Edina 10-0 in the semifinals. Junior Rebekah Smith had two hits, a double and triple, and two RBI. Teammate Madison Arends, also a junior, went 3-for-4 with a triple and one RBI.
