Eden Prairie nips Eastview
• EDEN PRAIRIE 19, EASTVIEW 15: Will Rains' 3-yard TD run in the fourth quarter Friday rallied the Eagles, ranked No. 1 in the Star Tribune Metro Top 10, past Eastview. Rains rushed for 104 yards to lead the Eagles, who trailed 7-6 at halftime and 15-12 after three quarters, to their 20th consecutive victory. Tommy Hutsell rushed for 153 yards and threw a TD pass for the Lightning.
• EAGAN 17, WAYZATA 16: The host Wildcats withstood a fourth-quarter comeback from Wayzata, ranked No. 8 in the Metro Top 10, to hang on for the victory. Sam Zenner rushed for 182 yards — including a 72-yard TD run — as the Wildcats built a 17-7 lead.
• HUTCHINSON 49, MOUND-WESTONKA 0: The Tigers, the defending Class 4A state champions, rolled to their 28th consecutive victory. The streak is the second-longest active streak in the state.
• LAKEVILLE NORTH 24, SHAKOPEE 7: Lakeville North, ranked No. 3 in the Metro Top 10, trailed 7-3 after the first quarter but scored the final 21 points of the game to take a South Suburban victory at Shakopee. Drew Stewart threw two TD passes for the Panthers.
• LAKEVILLE SOUTH 28, APPLE VALLEY 12: The visiting Cougars scored two TDs in the fourth quarter to pull away for the victory. Josh Corcoran rushed for two TDs — one in the second quarter and one in the third — as the Cougars took a 15-12 lead into the final quarter. Will Heller's 31-yard TD pass to Grant Moesser in the fourth quarter extended the Cougars' lead to 21-12.
• MINNETONKA 28, OSSEO 17: Tyler Olson and Braden Sikes scored fourth-quarter TDs to rally the Skippers to the victory. Sikes' 16-yard TD with 8:32 remaining gave the Skippers a 20-17 lead. Olson's 3-yard TD run — his second of the game — with 3:22 remaining sealed the victory.
• ORONO 31, ANNANDALE 12: Junior Hank Seward passed for 288 yards and four TDs to lead the Spartans, ranked No. 7 in Class 4A, past the Cardinals. Seward, who completed 14 of 22 passes, also rushed for 56 yards. Ethan Larson had two TD receptions for Spartans.
• RED WING 21, WINONA 7: Tait Kelly rushed for 125 yards and three TDs to lead the Wingers to their first victory under coach Rickey Foggie.
