Joe Hankinson knocked a rebound into the net with 2 minutes, 57 seconds left in overtime to give Class 2A, No. 10 Holy Family a 4-3 victory over visiting Class 2A, No. 3 Grand Rapids on Friday.

Brady Ziemer tied the score with a 5-on-3 power-play goal with 11:12 left in the third period for Holy Family.

The Thunderhawks scored a pair of goals, including Micah Miller’s second of the game, in the second period to take a 3-2 lead into the third.

Joe Simon and Nick Michel also scored for Holy Family. Miller scored a shorthanded goal in the first period for Grand Rapids.

Girls’ hockey

Hill-Murray 3, Mahtomedi 1: The Class 2A, No. 5 Pioneers scored three goals in a 7:38 span in the second period to defeat the host Zephyrs. Alli Clark, Erica Steigauf and Abigail Boreen scored for the Pioneers. Anna Broten scored for the Zephys with 31 seconds left in the first period. Johanna Ficcadenti stopped 27 shots for the Zephyrs.

Forest Lake 2, Andover 0: Maddie Kolbow scored a second-period goal to lead the Class 2A, No. 11 Rangers past the host Huskies. Kenzie Rugland sealed the victory with an empty-net goal with 1:02 left. Josie Bothun stopped 21 shots for the shutout for the Rangers.

Eagan 2, Shakopee 2 (OT): Taylor Anderson scored her second goal of the game with 4:35 left in the third period on the power play to send the game to overtime for the Class 2A, No. 16 Wildcats. Anderson got the Wildcats on the board 3:40 into the game with a shorthanded goal. Sophie Stoffers and Lauryn McNeil scored second period goals for the host Class 2A, No. 19 Sabers. Camryn Noess stopped 32 shots for the Sabers and Ashley Larson stopped 29 for the Wildcats.

Boys’ basketball

Minnetonka 71, Chanhassen 69: Matt Haas scored with 1.2 seconds left to give the visiting Skippers the victory over the Storm. He finished with 12 points. Burt Hedstrom led the Skipers with 25 points and Isaiah Carver-Bagley had 16. Austin Carter led the Storm with 20 points. Drake Weisman had 13 points and Chris Wandling had 11 for the Storm.

Chaska 75, Eden Prairie 73: Myles Hanson had 23 points to lead the host Hawks to an upset of the Class 4A, No. 9 Eagles. Cole Nicholson had 20 points and Parker Bjorklund had 10 for the Hawks. Owen Chose led the Eagles with 25 points and Drake Dobbs had 19.

Totino-Grace 79, Irondale 73: Rocky Kreuser scored 25 points to lead the Class 3A, No. 3 Eagles past the host Knights. Sean Sutherlin led all scorers with 40 points for the Knights. Nathan Kavolak had 19 points and Charlie Jacob had 14 for the Eagles.

Apple Valley 65, Shakopee 54: Erin Baxter and Brynne Rolland scored 16 points each to lead the Class 4A, No. 4 Eagles past the host Sabers. Lyndsey Robson had 15 points and Megan Baer had 11 for the Eagles. Mateya Hutton led the Sabers with 17 points and Brittany West had 14.

Lakeville North 55, Rosemount 43: Taylor Brown scored 16 points to lead the Class 4A, No. 7 Panthers past the host Irish. Ke James had 14 points and Temi Carda had 10 for the Panthers. Maddy Olson led the Irish with 11 points.

Orono 86, Hutchinson 76: Madeline Loder scored 35 points to lead the Class 3A, 5 Spartans past the Class 3A, No. 9 Tigers. Tori Andrew had 28 points and Jordan Case had 11 for the Spartans. MaKenzie Rensch led the Tigers with 31 points. Tori Wortz had 12 points and Morgan Kurth had 11 for the Tigers.
