Defenseman Jordan Gross, a senior from Maple Grove, scored his seventh goal of the season midway through the second period to give Notre Dame, ranked No. 1 in U.S. College Hockey Online's poll, a 2-1 victory over No. 6 Ohio State in Big Ten hockey in South Bend, Ind. With the win, the Fighting Irish (22-5-2, 16-2-1-1) also clinched the conference regular-season title, which the Gophers won the first four seasons of the league.

Gross' goal broke a 1-1 tie. Andrew Oglevie had the other goal for the Irish; Cale Morris stopped 31 shots. Kevin Miller had a power-play goal for the Buckeyes, and Sean Romeo stopped 27 shots.

No. 19 Michigan 1, Michigan State 1 (OT): Carson Gatt scored the tying goal in the second period and John Lethemon stopped 37 shots as the Spartans tied the visiting Wolverines. Quinn Hughes scored for Michigan, which won the shootout for an extra point in the Big Ten standings.

No. 4 St. Cloud State 5, Miami (Ohio) 2: Robby Jackson scored twice and Patick Newell, Kevin Fitzgerald and Mikey Eyssimont each had a goal and an assist as the Huskies beat the Redhawks. Jeff Smith had 26 saves for St. Cloud State, which scored three goals in the first period and two in the third.

Bemidji State 4, Michigan Tech 2: Jordan Heller scored two goals and had an assist to lead the visiting Beavers over the Huskies. Michael Bitzer had 23 saves for Bemidji State.

No. 5 MSU Mankato 3, Alabama Huntsville 2 (OT): The visiting Mavericks outshot the Chargers 42-19 but needed C.J. Suess' goal 27 seconds into overtime to get a victory. It was his 16th goal of the season. Parker Tuomie and Marc Michaelis, with 2:10 left in the third, had the other goals for MSU Mankato. Tuomie also had two assists.
