Friday morning at Twins camp

The Twins are wondering where the warmth is as they prepare to hit the field for another workout. Position players are expected to report.

The only player who wears a red t-shirt around the clubhouse, Justin Morneau, has reported to camp and is ready to go. He blew me off with one of his trademark smirks when my first question to him was, ``Did you wait for Canada to play another hockey game before you reported?"

I'm disappointed in your Twins team. They did nothing to Morneau's stall after Team USA beat those underachievers from the north in Olympic hockey. No taunting messages. No pictures. Nothing. Brendan Harris did put on a USA hockey cap and get in Morneau's face for a few seconds this morning.

Juan Portes has arrived. I didn't see Estarlin De Los Santos, but that doesn't mean he's not around.

Pat Neshek is among pitchers scheduled to throw off the mound today. Live batting practice will begin tomorrow, when pitchers usually dominate hitters.

Loek Van Mil said he hopes to throw off the mound sometime next week. For now, he's being treated for a shoulder tendinitis. He's a real friendly guy.

The temperature was in the low 40's this morning. The high is supposed to be 67. We can't wait because it is cold in the press box and a stiff breeze has Twins players shivering between swings in the batting cages. I know, people in Minnesota could care less. I'm done. Let's all go blow our noses together.....

What looked like a pitchers’ duel between Joe Ryan and Jacob Misiorowski went awry late as the Twins lost for the 11th time in 14 games.
