Nothing can stop Mary Mack from putting on a crazy holiday show. The Minneapolis comedian had a last minute venue change, but fear not, Mack's "North Star Comedy Hour & Meat Raffle" has found a home at the Turf Club's Clown Lounge this Friday. (It was originally planned for the 400 Bar.) Mack typically performs the variety show in Los Angeles once a month. It's her way of showing those fancy pants out there in Hollywood how us Minnesotans have fun (yay, meat raffles!). Now Mack is bringing the zany show home for the holidays. She's dubbed this version the "Dysfunctional Holiday Edition."

The words "Mary Mack" and "meat raffle" should be enough to get comedy fans out of the house. But here's a few details to get you more excited. The two-hour show features a bevy of artists, including the band Frances Gumm, comedian Zach Coulter, accordionist Karen Townsend, butcher Tony Pastrami (as played by comedian Tim Harmston), Rana May and more. "The Profanity Singers will be making a special appearance, so expect some sing-alongs with plenty of swearing," Mack says.

Mack is one of the Twin Cities brightest comedians. Read my recent profile of her here.

Details: 6:45 p.m. Fri. 1601 University Av. W., St. Paul. $5 or "free whatever you can afford," Mack says. www.marymackcomedy.com
