Friday fun: "Gone Purrl" and "Dachshund's Creek"

Animals and parody videos are the perfect mashup of Internet entertainment.

Parodies are great. Even better with cats and dogs. And YouTube is the perfect place to find both. Consider these two fine representatives of the Internet genre:

For those who like dachshunds (full disclosure: me!) or harbor nostalgia for 1990s teen dramas, there's "Dachshund's Creek." It's like two guilty pleasures rolled into one.

But maybe you're a cat person, more into suspense. Try "Gone Purrl," the feline remake of the thriller "Gone Girl." A cat cast as the scheming Amy Dunne? Perfect.
