Join us at Star Tribune headquarters this Thursday for a complimentary round of holiday cookies.

Our 13th annual Holiday Cookie Contest drew 225 recipes in 2015. We whittled it down to the usual five finalists. And now, for the first time, we're partnering with Rush City Bakery to provide free samples of our favorites.

At this free event, you can gather around Capella Tower's holiday tree while sampling the winners of our popular contest. Cast members from Chanhassen Dinner Theater's production of "Sister Act" will entertain the crowd with festive carols.

When: 11 a.m. Thu., Dec. 3 (while supplies last)

Where: #StribHQ, 650 3rd Av. S., Mpls. In the public atrium between the Star Tribune Building and Capella Tower.

Price: Free. Cookie-lovers are encouraged to bring a nonperishable food item to donate to Second Harvest Heartland.
