SPRING GREEN, Wis. — The Frank Lloyd Wright Visitor Center in Spring Green is featuring work by a photographer whose 20-year association with the architect launched his long fine-arts career.
Pedro Guerrero is mostly known for his images of Wright and the architect's work but he also photographed the lives and works of sculptors Alexander Calder and Louise Nevelson.
The exhibit features 26 photos including images of Taliesin, New York City scenes from the 1940s and intimate portraits of Wright, Calder and Nevelson.
After attending the Art Center School in Los Angeles, Guerrero got his first photography job after he visited Wright's home near Scottsdale, Ariz. in 1939. Guerrero died last year at the age of 95.
The visitor center is where all Taliesin tours begin and end. The exhibit runs through Oct. 13.
