Fox News and Fox Business senior vice president Michael Tammero was not impressed with Seth MacFarlane's recent criticism of the network, publicly dragging the comedian on Twitter for saying he was "embarrassed" by Fox News hosts like Tucker Carlson

"Yet… NOT quite embarrassed enough to not cash that check … isn't that right," said Tammero in a quote tweet, which also tagged MacFarlane just to make 100% certain he saw it.

Tammero, who oversees Fox News and Fox Business marketing, is one of the oldest old hands at the network, first joining in 1998.

MacFarlane, who has found fame by creating multiple programs for Fox's non-news divisions, including "Family Guy," "American Dad," and "The Orville, took issue with a line from Tucker Carlson urging his viewers not to trust news from outlets other than Fox News. The line was flagged by CNN media guru Brian Stelter.

MacFarlane called it "fringe s–"

"In other words, don't think critically, don't consult multiple news sources, and in general, don't use your brain. Just blindly obey Fox News," he tweeted. "This is fringe s–, and it's business like this that makes me embarrassed to work for this company."

As TheWrap previously reported, however, MacFarlane's personal disgust with the behavior of his own corporate masters is likely coming to an end. His portfolio under 21st Century Fox is likely to be among the the assets sold to Disney or Comcast, as the company moves to divest itself from the bulk of it's non-news and sports content.

Reps for Fox News did not immediately respond to requests for comment from TheWrap.
