Four out of five pit bull puppies have been safely returned to their St. Paul caretakers this week, with an increased reward set for the remaining missing male.
The fourth pup was recovered Saturday in Cottage Grove after being purchased at a local gas station, said Liz Gigler of the Rescue Pets Are Wonderful (RPAW) organization. The man selling the pooch said he "just wanted money for a bus ticket," Gigler said.
A chocolate male is the lone missing puppy from the group that was abducted from an RPAW van parked outside Gigler's St. Paul home early Tuesday morning. An increased reward of $750 is being offered for his return.
