In today's spring practice preview, I listed three potential new impact players for the Gophers: LB Damien Wilson, LB Jack Lynn and CB Eric Murray.

But heading into Practice #1 (today at 3:30 p.m.), let's not forget about four offensive linemen who will be right in the mix, competing for playing time.

Isaac Hayes, a redshirt last year, is 6-2, 304 (up from 275 pounds coming out of St.Thomas Academy).

Jonah Pirsig, a redshirt last year, is listed at 6-9, 308 pounds (up from 295 pounds coming out of Blue Earth).

Ben Lauer, a redshirt last year, is 6-6, 302 (up from 265 coming out of Wayzata).

Brian Bobek, who sat out last year after transferring from Ohio State, is 6-2, 282 (about where he was last year, coming out of Ohio State).

With Ed Olson and Zach Mottla recovering from injuries this spring, all four of these linemen will get a good look. Bobek will be one of three centers, along with redshirt sophomores Jon Christenson and Ernie Heifort.
