LAKE DELTON, WIS. - All sorts of things are turning up in Lake Delton's muck now that it's empty.

People have been looking for valuables in the man-made lake created in the 1920s. It emptied into the Wisconsin River during severe flooding this month.

So far, four guns and two bones have been found.

Lake Delton Police Detective Janet Klipp says the bones are from an animal. But she wonders why someone would throw a gun in the lake.

Klipp says the guns looked old and were covered in years of sediment.

Police are sending the guns to the state crime lab in Madison for analysis. They hope to lift the serial numbers and trace them to their original owners.
