The Minneapolis Civilian Review Authority is holding a community forum on March 24 to explain how it investigates complaints of police misconduct.
The forum will be held from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at Sabathani Community Center, 310 E. 38th St. It is intended to explain the complaint process and current issues facing the authority and how community members can shape the authority's work.
The authority is a city-appointed body. It investigates such complaints involving as the use of excessive force, inappropriate language or attitude, harassment, discrimination in police services, failure to provide adequate or timely police protection, and retaliation for filing a complaint.
