Sad news to report as former Vikings linebacker Nick Rogers was killed Monday in a single-car accident, according to this story in the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.
The Vikings drafted Rogers out of Georgia Tech in the sixth round in 2002. He had 43 tackles, two sacks and three forced fumbles as a rookie while starting 11 games. Rogers started five games the following season, collecting 26 tackles.
Rogers also spent time with the Packers, Colts and Dolphins.
According to the Journal-Constitution, Rogers opened a barber shop after his playing days and married his long-time girlfriend less than a month ago.
