MINNEAPOLIS — A former Minnesota postal worker faces a federal indictment for allegedly stealing cash and gift cards from the U.S. mail.

Twenty-seven-year-old Bobbi Ouradnik of Hinckley was indicted June 11 on one count of theft of mail by a postal employee.

The indictment was unsealed after Ouradnik made her initial court appearance last Friday.

The indictment alleges that from July 2011 through July 3, 2012, Ouradnik stole currency and gift cards from letters and envelopes. She was working as a rural carrier for the Harris Post Office at the time.

Online court records do not list a defense attorney. A home phone number for Ouradnik could not be found.
