March 2, 2019 at 11:31PM

A Forest Lake man is in custody on suspicion of having fired a shot into another vehicle on Interstate 35 in Wyoming, Minn., during Friday afternoon's snowstorm, according to the State Patrol.

No one was hurt in the incident, which occurred during a time of many crashes and spinouts in the area as falling snow made roadways hazardous.

Michael Swonger, 44, of Minneapolis, reported that someone in a passing BMW fired one shot into his vehicle as he drove north on I-35. Troopers found a BMW matching Swonger's description that had gone off the road. They detained the driver and located a firearm. They also found a bullet hole in Swonger's vehicle.

The 27-year-old Forest Lake man was arrested on suspicion of second-degree assault and being a felon in possession of a firearm.
