For Wild's Yeo, the net effect is the difference

There's not much left to say about a Wild squad that has rallied from the brink of nothingness to the edge of the playoffs, but maybe we can agree on this:

We've seen enough over the past couple of years to conclude that the Wild, as currently assembled and playing the system Mike Yeo wants to play is one of the 10 best in the NHL as long as it gets above-average goaltending. When that goaltending changes from above average to otherworldly, as is happening with Devan Dubnyk this season, Minnesota is a Stanley Cup contender.

Long story short: Yeo can coach. Give him a goalie, and he's just fine.

25 PERCENT Kevin Garnett has played in five of the Timberwolves' 20 games since the trade with Brooklyn was announced in February.

LINEUP CHATTER Still not sure Danny Santana at short, Eduardo Escobar in a utility role and a platoon in center is the best use of available Twins players.
