A Foley teen died Friday after her car struck a flatbed pickup truck in Sherburne County, according to law enforcement there.
Jade Posterick, 16, died at the scene and two juvenile female passengers were taken by ambulance to St. Cloud Hospital, Sherburne County Sheriff Joel Brott said Saturday.
Brott said Posterick was traveling west on County Road 62 around 6:30 p.m. when her vehicle collided with a northbound truck driven by Nathan Bauerly, 35, of Sauk Rapids. Bauerly was airlifted to St. Cloud Hospital. The extent of his injuries and those suffered by Posterick’s passengers is unknown. Brott said the cause of the crash is still being investigated.
