Heavy, drenching thunderstorms will expand from the Gulf Coast up into theSoutheast coast during the day Wednesday, resulting in strong winds andhail. The greatest impact from these storms will be the flooding rainfall fromwestern Florida Panhandle through the coastal Carolinas. In these areas, thunderstorms will continue to move over the same spots, producing flashflooding into the evening.

The persistent downpours will flood fields and some low-lying roadintersections.
