Flooding Still an Issue in the South

April 10, 2009 at 7:30AM

Moderate river flooding continues, especially across portions of southernGeorgia and northern Florida, but the good news is that the river levelscontinue to fall. The flooding is still a product of the runoff from the heavy rainfall duringthe March 27- April 4 period.

A storm will bring additional showers and thunderstorms to the area Fridaynight and early Saturday, but the heaviest rainfall should pass well to thenorth.
