Heavy rain late last week pelted the British Archipelago and triggeredflooding from Scotland to Cornwall.In Scotland, the districts of Perth and Kinross, Angus, Dundee, Stirling andClackmannanshire were doused. Flooding caused many roads at Cupar to be closed.
In one instance, people trapped in a school building had to be helped tosafety.
Flood waters invaded buildings at Milnathort, where the rainfall wasdescribed as especially heavy. The Fife area was also hit by the torrentialrain and flooding.
Elsewhere in the United Kingdom, last week's storms unleashed heavydownpours and lightning strikes in Tyneside, northeast England, and inCornwall, in the southwest.
