From Texas to Ohio, a moisture-laden flow will turn into drenching rain Monday night and Tuesday. From here on out, the heaviest rainfall will probably occur in Texas, Arkansas and Louisiana where flash flooding will be ongoing.

The area from Indiana to western New York will also get a pretty good dose of rain but probably not as much as what falls in the South.

Typically, a relatively cool outflow boundary exists right on the leading edge of where it is raining. Along this line, there is the greatest threat of violent thunderstorms.
