'Buddy Guy'

He's one of music's most fiery guitarists, but this new documentary, subtitled "The Blues Chase the Blues Away," reveals Buddy Guy to be an extraordinarily humble legend. The Chicago staple, who turns 85 on Friday, spends most of this "American Masters" installment honoring his mentors, taking great delight in recounting how Muddy Waters once made him a salami sandwich.

8 p.m. Tuesday, TPT, Ch. 2

'Naomi Osaka'

There are plenty of tennis highlights in this three-parter that show why this young champion has the potential to be one of her sport's all-time greats. But the docuseries is more interested in Osaka's off-court challenges, specifically dealing with sudden fame and loneliness. After watching it, you might find that her voluntary hiatus from the game makes more sense.

'Playing With Sharks'

For much of her career as an ocean explorer, Valerie Taylor was compared to a Bond girl. But this beautifully shot documentary shows she was much more than that, advocating for sharks with more passion than almost any woman — or man — has ever done.

'Turning the Tables With Robin Roberts'

The "Good Morning America" co-anchor shows off her people skills in a series of tea parties more inviting than the showdowns on "The View." Roberts guides high-profile guests like Billie Jean King and Debbie Allen through deeply personal discussions. Along the way, the host shares her own touching anecdotes.

Starts streaming Wednesday on Disney Plus

'Masters of the Universe: Revelation'

The best thing I can say about this sequel to the '80s animated series "He-Man and the Masters of the Universe" is that after watching 10 minutes of it, your kids may switch off the TV and stage their own adventures with the original toys. The smarter plots and battles they conjure up will likely be more engaging than anything creator Kevin Smith did for this plastic effort.

As an eviction crisis has seemed increasingly likely this summer, everyone in the housing market has made the same plea to Washington: Send money — lots of it — that would keep renters in their homes and landlords afloat.
