Fishing report

Duluth

According to Fisherman's Corner, fishing has been good on Pike Lake and Fish Lake, although Fish Lake is slowing a little. Fishing has been good on the south shore of Lake Superior in Wisconsin but has been tough on the St. Louis River.

East Metro

Hansen's Little Bear Bait reports White Bear Lake and Bald Eagle are producing a good crappie and sunnie bite and both lakes are producing walleyes at night. Centerville Lake is also producing a strong panfish bite.

Lake Osakis

Fisherman's Corner reports walleyes hitting leeches and crawlers using gold spinners. Sunfish are just starting on Miller's Bay. The bass bite has been on and off.

Leech Lake

The muskie bite is slowly starting, according to Reed's Sporting Goods. The walleye bite continues strong, especially trolling Shad Raps. Bass have started hitting as the water warms. Steamboat Bay is a hot spot.

Mankato

Walleyes are biting on Lake Washington, according to The Bobber Shop. Anglers are having luck trolling Rapalas and other crankbaits. Lake Frances is producing sunfish. On the Minnesota River, catfish have been hitting suckers and chubs.

Rainy Lake/Rainy River

Rainy Lake One-Stop reports walleyes are still biting in all depths on Rainy Lake. On the Rainy River, water is still running high and fast. Walleyes are in the slack current.
