Fishing: More trophy tales

Donyal Eret of Chisago City caught this 23-plus-inch walleye on Chisago Lake recently while fishing with her brother, Tom, and his fiancée. It was getting dark when Tom said “one more cast,” and Eret hooked this dandy. (The Minnesota Star Tribune)

Adam Walsh, 11, of Blooming Prairie with a big bass he caught and released on Cannon Lake in Faribault. “We were fishing with a worm and a bobber and WHAMMO, this guy just attacked,’’ said Adam’s mom, Jennifer. “I didn’t have a scale or a tape measure, but we are guessing it's about 5 pounds.
