Fluorocarbon line
Fluorocarbon is handy line to have in a tackle box. With it, you can keep line nearest your lure and/or bait nearly invisible to fish. Yes, it's relatively pricey, but you needn't spool your entire reel with it. Instead, tie a two-way swivel onto the end of your preferred line and extend about 24 inches of fluorocarbon from that point to your lure or bait. That gives you the best of both lines.
