First Lady Michelle Obama arrives in Minnesota Tuesday to rally Democrats before the Nov. 4 midterm election.

At Patrick Henry High School in Minneapolis, she, Sen. Al Franken, Gov. Mark Dayton and other high-profile DFLers will urge Democrats to vote. The 2 p.m. event is free, but tickets were almost gone by Monday night.

Obama is one of a series of prominent Democrats traipsing through the state in the final weeks before the election.

On Thursday, former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton will headline a free rally in St. Paul with Franken and Dayton.

Clinton, a possible future presidential candidate, also will hold a fundraiser for Dayton, co-hosted by Franken and Sen. Amy Klobuchar, on Thursday evening, with tickets going for $150 to $2,500.

Former President Bill Clinton rallied with Dayton and Franken earlier this month. Sens. Elizabeth Warren and Jon Tester campaigned with Franken last weekend. Vice President Joe Biden will appear with Democratic Rep. Rick Nolan on Thursday.

GOP candidates have featured fewer visits from high-profile dignitaries but the party has said the Democratic visits show Dayton and Franken are in more trouble than public polls indicate.
