A residential fire in south Minneapolis left one person burned, two children needing medical attention and three families displaced from their homes by the blaze, authorities said.

The first-floor fire struck one of six connected townhouses about 4 p.m. Saturday in the 2400 block of Ogema Place on the Little Earth Reservation, fire officials said.

Firefighters had the blaze under control by about 5:15 p.m. Authorities have yet to say what may started the fire.

There is no immediate word on the condition of the adult who was burned. The two children were evaluated for smoke inhalation, according to the Fire Department.

The Red Cross was called in to assist three families, consisting of six adults and seven children, with their immediate needs.
