A late-night fire killed two people in a home in northern Minnesota over the weekend, authorities said Wednesday.

The blaze broke out late Sunday in Shamrock Township, about 10 miles north of McGregor, according to the Aitkin County Sheriff's Office.

The fire killed an 80-year-old man and a 69-year-old woman, the Sheriff's Office said.

Authorities have yet to address the circumstances of the fire or identify the victims.
