Fire destroys SidCo 4x4 in Glencoe

January 21, 2014 at 3:14PM

A fire Monday evening destroyed an automotive business in Glencoe, about 30 miles west of Chaska.

McLeod County Sheriff officials were called about 5:30 p.m. to the fire at SidCo 4x4, a company that sells accessories for 4x4 vehicles and bills itself as the home of The Tool and Super Destoyer monster trucks. McLeod County Sgt. Jayson Boraas said people in the building were able to get out safely. There were no injuries and no other buildings were in danger, he said.

"I've been told that the front of the building is still standing, but that's the only part," Boraas said.

Firefighters were still on working on extinguishing the fire late Monday night. The cause of the fire hasn't been determined.
